I create original music scores, lyrics, vocals, and sound for motion pictures, VR experiences, theatre, & art media. My training is in music composition, audio production/recording, virtual instruments, synthesizers, atmospheres, DAWs, production workflows, and industry-standard practices in music scoring and synchronization with visual media.

I have experience in musicianship, scoring techniques, creating emotions through music, MIDI orchestration, and engineering. I have familiarity with Audiokinetic Wwise, 360° Surround Panning, 3D Audio & Unreal Engine 4.

The Blueprint is written, directed, and produced by Dexter Pierce of Pierce Pictures, based in Los Angeles, CA. Margaret De Bellis composed seven piano score cues for the film, including the main theme “The Angel,” “The Conversation,” and “The Gift.”

EDAHLION: LE ROYAUME ORPHELIN

Edahlion: Le Royaume Orphelin is an independent medieval fantasy film directed by Michel C. Jacky and with music scored by Jonathan Galland. Galland is an award-winning French music composer for motion pictures who has received international music awards. For the film’s opening scene, Margaret De Bellis collaborated with Galland to create lyrics and vocals in a made-up fairy language. The intention was to showcase De Bellis’ ability as a recording artist of angelic vocals for motion pictures as a portfolio piece. Synth build-ups, cutoffs, and orchestral hits and rises...

The angelic vocals which lead to imagined transportation.

The sonic soundscapes, ambient transients mixed into tape delays,

reverbs, and analog tubes to feel the warmth of “The Light.”

These are the sounds of Margaret De Bellis, a multi-disciplinary visionary artist who believes in all artforms of expression to bring clarity in truth and confidence. She creates in the powerful artform of fully-immersive live audiovisual storytelling experiences and music audio-visual stories where her innovative visual arts, coined as virtual tech-arts and musical experiences, transport the imagination.

Her soul expression and unique designed sounds were born by practicing artforms (singing, dancing, abstract art, acting, writing, and meditation) and industry experience in theatre performance arts, music, film, technology, healing arts, and VR experiences.

Margaret De Bellis is of Italian descent, a Canadian-born music composer, singer, producer, and audio designer - a performing artist at her core. Furthermore, she successfully completed her Master of Arts in Music Scoring and Composition at the Academy of Art University, where her audiovisual works “THE LIGHT, mm33” and “Can You Feel It” were showcased in the 2018 and 2019 Annual Spring Show Exhibition held in San Francisco, California.

Furthermore, De Bellis composed, recorded, and performed her work, designed and edited audio and video accompaniments, and managed the post-production engineering process from beginning to end. Continually, the public was able to sit down and immerse themselves in De Bellis’ works by using headphones and watching the visuals on an iMac to be provoked in conversations about her work.

It is through the objective to re-create the human experience by bringing meaning and hope into audiences’ lives through De Bellis’ audiovisual works, which perseveres her devotion and dedication to her craft.

A voice for the people, De Bellis, is a heart-centric leader leading the new experience economy and is proud to be among the five percent of women globally who contribute to music and sound in visual media entertainment.
